Manilla's Archives are housed in the old I.X.L Bakery at the rear of Royce's house. Here the many hundreds of gathered and contributed documents, photographs, maps, records, histories and miscellaneous items which collectively make up our Heritage are safely held in trust on behalf of the Local Community.

The ROYCE HOUSE COLLECTION
The former Royce family home is furnished with items from Manilla's everyday domestic, social, working and military collections. The external area at the rear of the house has been upgraded for security and covered for protection of the back rooms. Property fencing has been recently restored and the back yard well utilised for fundraising and other events.

Expanding the Machinery Shed |
M.C. Mackenzie's former mechanical workshop (c.1913) in Alexander Lane behind the shops, has housed Manilla District's antique farm machinery collection since 1975. The southern yard has been recently covered and the grounds extended by Council's acquisition of land adjacent to the northern boundary.
