MANILLA & DISTRICT  COMMUNITY ARCHIVES

Manilla's Community Archives are housed in the old I.X.L Bakery at the rear of Royce's house. Our Archive Volunteers sort and file the many hundreds of gathered and contributed documents, photographs, maps, records, histories and miscellaneous items which collectively make up our Heritage. Manilla Historical Society has undertaken to safely hold these things in trust on behalf of the Local Community.

Expanding the Machinery Shed

M.C. Mackenzie's former mechanical workshop (c.1913) in Alexander Lane behind the shops, has housed Manilla District's antique farm machinery collection since 1975. The southern yard has been recently covered and the grounds extended by Council's acquisition of land adjacent to the northern boundary.
